Terms & Conditions

Booking

All studio bookings must be confirmed in writing prior to the hire taking place. A booking is only secured once confirmation has been received from TANK Studios. Unconfirmed enquiries or provisional holds do not guarantee availability.

Options

First options do not guarantee availability until a booking is confirmed.
If a second option wishes to proceed, the first option holder will be notified and given a reasonable period to confirm.

Studio options are held for a maximum of two weeks. Any unconfirmed options will be released 48 hours prior to the shoot date.

Cancellations

Confirmed bookings cancelled within 48 hours of the first or only shoot date will be charged at 100% of the studio hire rate, plus any costs already incurred.

Confirmed bookings cancelled more than 48 hours before the shoot date will be charged at 50% of the studio hire rate.

Rates & charges

Studio hire rates are as agreed at the time of booking confirmation.
All charges are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.

Additional services — including but not limited to equipment hire, catering, refreshments, set build, damages, waste removal, or specialist cleaning — are charged separately from the studio hire unless stated otherwise.

Studio hours & overtime

Standard studio hours are 9:00am–6:00pm unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Overtime charges apply if the studio is occupied by any crew member outside of the agreed hire hours and will be charged per hour at the agreed overtime rate.

Payment terms

Full payment of the studio hire fee is required in advance to secure the booking.

Any additional charges incurred during the hire will be invoiced and are payable on Net 30 terms. TANK Studios reserves the right to charge statutory interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Any invoice queries must be raised within 7 working days of the invoice date.

Damages

The hirer is responsible for leaving the studio and all communal areas in the condition they were found, allowing for reasonable wear and tear.

The hirer is liable for any damage caused to the building, studio spaces, fixtures, fittings, furniture, or equipment by themselves or anyone attending in connection with their booking. Charges will reflect the full cost of repair or replacement.

General cleaning is included in the studio hire. Any specialist cleaning, repainting, or repairs required will be charged separately.

Waste

Standard waste disposal is included using the bins provided within the hired area.

Any additional waste removal must be agreed in advance and may incur additional charges, payable prior to the hire. Waste left outside of agreed terms may be charged after the booking.

Lighting & equipment hire

Equipment requirements must be confirmed by 12:00 noon on the day prior to the shoot. Requests made after this time may result in limited availability or delays.

Lighting, grip, and production equipment must be hired through TANK’s in-house facilities. Third-party rental companies are not permitted without prior written approval. Hirers are welcome to use their own personal equipment.

Failure to comply may result in additional charges.

Personal property & equipment

TANK Studios is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to any personal property or equipment belonging to the hirer or their crew. Any items left on site are left entirely at the hirer’s own risk.

No hirer property is covered by TANK Studios’ insurance.

Deliveries & collections

Deliveries and collections can be accepted between 9:00am–6:00pm, subject to availability, and up to 24 hours before or after the shoot date by prior agreement.

Items stored outside of this period may incur storage charges. All deliveries must be clearly labelled, and any required paperwork completed in advance.

TANK Studios cannot take responsibility for items delivered early or left after the booking.

Parking

Parking availability varies by studio and must be arranged in advance where possible. Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk.

TANK Studios cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to vehicles or their contents. Where parking permits are required, these must be displayed at all times. Any fines incurred are the responsibility of the vehicle owner.

Catering & refreshments

In-house catering is available through TANK’s on-site catering partner. External catering is not permitted without prior agreement and may be subject to additional charges.

Refreshments and catering ordered through TANK will be charged as used.

Equipment return

All equipment hired through TANK must be packed down and returned in the condition it was supplied. Any equipment left for studio staff to dismantle or pack down will incur additional charges.

Insurance & liability

Use of TANK Studios and all associated equipment is entirely at the hirer’s risk.

TANK Studios shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or consequential loss suffered by the hirer, their crew, or their property while using the premises.

TANK Studios cannot accept liability for losses arising from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to power failure, fire, flood, severe weather, acts of God, civil disturbance, or industrial action.
